Warren Wilbur "Webb" Thrush, 103, of rural Wabash, Indiana, passed away at 6:15 pm, Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on November 14, 1920, in Wabash County, to Joseph and Grace (Murphy) Thrush.
Webb was a graduate of Chippewa High School. He married IdaCorine "Connie" Connelly on September 13, 1941. Webb and Connie were in their 79th year of marriage at the time of her death on April 25, 2020. A lifelong farmer and longtime member of Bachelor Creek Church of Christ, Webb also enjoyed golf, music, travel, and service to the community as a former member of the Wabash Kiwanis Club. He especially treasured time spent with family and friends.
He is survived by two children, Carol (Jim) Keffaber and Larry C. Thrush, both of Wabash; three grandchildren, Tony (Connie) Keffaber of Franklin, Tennessee, Todd (Barb) Keffaber of Freeport, Florida, and Shelly (Mark) Witmer of Roanoke, Indiana; nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Donna Thrush, brothers, Fred and Ronald Thrush, and his sister, Dorothy DeHaven.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with David Stokes officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 3-7 pm Friday, at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Preferred memorial is Bachelor Creek Church of Christ.
