Amanda Gaston Obituary

Amanda Marie Gaston, 18, of Tobyhanna, died on Wednesday, Jan. 23, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Pocono Township.

Born in Bronx, N.Y., she was the daughter of Robert and Cecelia (Bonilla) Gaston.

Amanda attended the Shawnee Tabernacle School and later transferred to the Pocono Mountain West High School, where she graduated in 2007. She was presently working at the Wal-Mart Super Center in Mount Pocono.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters, Allison Marie Rodriguez and Angelica Marie Gaston of Tobyhanna; and three brothers: Jason Gaston and Nathaniel Gaston, both of Tobyhanna, and Elvis Gaston of Jacksonville, N.C.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, at the Shawnee Tabernacle Church, 16 Carriage Square, Tobyhanna. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at the church, with the Rev. Dennis Bloom officating. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, in St. Raymonds Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family in care of the Pula Funeral Home, 35 Sterling Road, Mount Pocono, PA 18344.
