Dr. Ben Schecter I considered a friend besides great doctor. I'm still in shock of his passing. When time permitted we would talk of boating, fishing as back then I was a 'kayaker'. He left an impression on most patients and that's a good thing. He was professional & caring, a rare combination today. RIP my friend

Ben was my best friend at Pottsville High School. I was best man at his wedding to Donna.
I didn’t see him much in our later years but I thought of him often.
RIP my friend, you were a helluva a guy!,

He was the only physician I've ever had that listened, and laughed. I love that he used to ask me questions about dog care... He will be missed.

What a genuine and caring human being. Dr. Ben gave the world so much more than he ever took and we are all better people for knowing him. The world has lost one of its bright lights.

I'm so saddened by the loss of Dr Ben. He always called me kiddo and trusted me to run his office. He gave me a chance at a job a had no experience in. I am now so educated on addiction and office procedures because of him. He and I were not just a boss and office worker but friends and helped me in so many personal levels. Our loyalty to each other was more than anyone knew. Because of him I have become to know and care about so many people.
I miss you and us in the office every day. Please be at piece and enjoy your pain free time with friends and families who have gone before you. I love you and miss you .

I am so sorry to hear that Dr. Ben, (as a lot have called him)passed. I worked for him in the Stroudsburg office for many years and I am so grateful. He was well known to many especially his patients and his good pal Charlie. They were quite a pair with their hunting and fishing stories. Dr. Ben was so good to me and I will miss him. I know he is enjoying his reunion with his son Michael and his mom and he is now with no more pain. Rest In Peace Dr Ben. I love you and miss you.
