Charles C. Haussler Sr., 78, of Greentown, died Friday at his home. He was the husband of Geraldine R. (Brodowsky) Haussler, at home.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Christian and Gertrude (Bernhard) Haussler. A resident of Greentown since 1987, he previously lived in Ardsley.
Charles retired in 1987 as production inspector for General Electric AeroSpace in King of Prussia where he worked for 30 years.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army with an Armored Division in Europe.
In addition to his wife, Gerre, he is survived by one son, Charles C. Haussler Jr. RD of Newfoundland; one daughter, Cynthia Shiffler RD of Newfoundland; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Christian Haussler of Elizabethtown. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy (Hanpf) Haussler; and one sister, Gertrude Hummel.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at Hemlock Grove United Methodist Church, Greentown. The Rev. Beth Mallozzi, pastor, will officiate.
