David Miller Obituary

David L. Miller Jr., 50, of Long Pond, died on Friday, April 20, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was the widower of Joann Miller, who died on April 5 of this year.

Born in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of Norma Singer Miller of Stroudsburg and the late David L. Miller Sr.

He was a resident of the Long Pond area for the past 21 years and prior to that he lived in the Tobyhanna area.

In his early years he worked for a mason contractor in the New Jersey area and for the past several years he was employed at the Mount Airy Lodge as a dump truck driver.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, April Zipp and her husband, Daniel, of Long Pond; a grandson, Daniel Zipp; a brother, Hank Miller and his wife, Pattie, also of Long Pond; and many nieces, nephews, great-nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald L. Bardonney.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 23, at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc., 23 North Ninth St., Stroudsburg, PA 18360 with the Rev. Thomas Anderman officiating. Burial of Joann Miller and David Miller's ashes will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, in the Sand Hill Cemetery in Bushkill.
