Dear Dillon,
You are my best friend. Hearing of your loss all the way in Florida tore me apart. I spent all night and day crying over your loss. My only regret is not being able to see you both times i came to Florida. You were such a happy guy, always talking about the good, and making fun of the bad. I love you so much, you were going to be my best man when the time came. You still will be. Holly and Kelly, im so very sorry for your loss.

Rafael Ortiz, your best friend always.

Dear Holly, Kelly and John,
Words seem so inadequate to express the sorrow that we all feel. Dillon will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him. He was like a shooting star, streaking through our lives with light and brilliance, then disappearing too soon, leaving us in awe of his beauty. He was a gift to our family and we will miss him for the rest of our lives. I pray that he has found the peace he was searching for. I also pray for all of you, that God's love will surround you and guide you through this.

What do I say to someone when they tell me that I am their hero? Worse yet when they die before they had the potentional to become equal or greater than me, I feel like I have lost part of myself. Dillion I only hope in death you find peace but for one second never believe myself, your family or your father especially would have left you with not enough answers or love for you to had leave us in such shock and morning. I can only think of great times playing video games, telling jokes, and sharing music with you my brother....only the good die young comes to mind. You will not be remembered in the pain you left because of you I am sure we can save at least one person learning from your cause. That my friend is what hero's do make sacrifices. I wanted a little brother to look up to me and you sacrificed a lot so know you are my hero. Your pain is gone ours will last till will meet again....you will be missed but never forgotten its our job to remember and look to hope no one will ever leave behind a family as lost for words as ours...I love you
