Earl Newcomb

Earl Newcomb, 63, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Monday, May 9, at home. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Johnson) Newcomb.

Born on Feb. 21, 1942, in Moscow, Idaho, he was the son of Bernice (Hanson) Newcomb and the late Henderson Newcomb.

Earl recently retired from U.S. Securities as a security guard for seven years in Blairstown, N.J. Prior to that, he was a mechanical engineer in New Jersey for over 20 years. Earl was an iron worker for the Iron Workers Union in New Jersey. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Earl was a resident of East Stroudsburg for the past 15 years and prior to that, he lived in Pen Argyl for 2 years.

He was a lover of animals and enjoyed working on cars and trucks.

Surviving are wife, Nancy (Johnson) Newcomb of East Stroudsburg; mother, Bernice Newcomb of Boise, Idaho; sister, Jeanette Napier of Tennessee; and two nieces.

There will be no services at this time. Cremation will take place at H.G. Smith Crematory in Stroudsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association, 212 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
