James, the biggest reason our son and daughter loved school at BES was music class with Mrs. Hinton. We heard more details about what went on in music class than any other. Elaine had such a profound impact on jake and Lula and it was so clear that she both loved her job and was very good at it. We will miss you Elaine! Joe and Shelly Mantegna

I shared a classroom with Elaine my first year at BES. She had a beautiful, generous soul. We talked and laughed and shared so much. The memory of her whistling will always bring a smile to my face. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Hinton,
My thoughts are with you and your family. I was a witness and the first person on the scene the day of the accident. Many people rapidly tried to help and did all they could possibly do. I have been thinking about that day a lot since the accident. Please know that people did care and tried their best to assist. May you rest in peace.

Dear James,
I met your Mom when we were both programmers at Crum & Foster Insurance Company over twnety years ago. We had many great times and although we didn't get together much I always knew she would be my friend forever. I never knew forever would be so soon and I regret not visiting her more. She loved you very much and was very proud of all your accomplishments. She enjoyed talking about you as much as I enjoyed listening. You are a very special person. I am very sorry for your loss.

Annie, I had the opportunity to spend some time with Elaine at Ruthies party (my sisiter) A short time ago and we had so much fun, talking about our chilhood and how our parents had remained such close friends, even though Bill & Calvin have passed. everytime i saw mrs. hinton in the halls throughout my whole year at BES, she was always singing. she loved music, and her students. she was one of the sweetest teachers i knew. everyone will miss her but she will always be looking over at us in a much better place-heaven. we love her!

I could not believe the strength you showed yesterday at the BES memorial. I look at my son, and cannot stop thinking of how much your mom loves you! She was very proud of you. I am so saddened and shocked to hear of the loss of Elaine. I got to know her thru her brief time at Bridgewater Schools.Since she lived in Saylorsburg and I in Blakeslee.We would car pool at times. Since we had a hour and half ride one way we would talk about are lives and children and more. But one thing I remember is how proud she is of her son and the love she has for him.Having a son and daughter of my own I know there is know greater love then that of your child.My deepest sympathy to the family of Elaine.Rest in peace Elaine.

Elaine was a wonderful woman. I only knew her a short time(from the gym). She loved her son and was so proud of his accomplishments. She was always such a positive person.

Mrs. Hinton taught my kids music at Blairstown and I have to say they LOVED her. She would always stop me when she saw me in the school halls to tell me how much she loved teaching them. I think that sums it all up. She loved and was so proud of all her kids. Sadness fills my heart at her loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We have lost an amazing beautiful person but heaven just gained a new angel.

I had Mrs. Hinton as a music teacher in prefirst through second grade. She and her orange puppet, Arpezzio, were a great match. I miss her very much, and am saddened that my little sister, Laura, will not get to meet her. I play piano and trumpet, and every time I play, I will think of her.

Most of my memories of Elaine are from years ago growing up in Newfoundland. She was always such a happy person. In reading the many condolence messages that have been left, I realize that- although we had not kept in close touch- the happy, kind and life-loving young girl that I knew was the woman that she grew to be. She was a person who loved music, animals, family, friends and God. What a complete life!

Elaine was my dear friend since 3rd grade.We shared so much together. Just last month we were by the pool having lunch,drinking wine and rehashing our lives. I was part of Elaine's class from Newfoundland from the beginning and being as there was only so few of us you know everybody pretty well, however you don't know about people's lives once they move on after graduation. My son, Ryan, loved Mrs. Hinton and her music class. She once told me that when Ryan sang, his face lit up and he put his whole body into it, and she encouraged his exuberance. She went out of her way for children interested in music. We were deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic accident which took her much too soon. She was a great and loving woman.

I was a friend with your beautiful mother for over 25 years. I met her when she was a music teacher at Mount Horeb School in Warren, New Jersey. I have many wonderful memories with Elaine. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Mrs. Hintons family. I watched yesterday as they valiantly tried to save her. It was not for their lack of trying believe me and she was prayed for. Know that this has deeply touched a few strangers in this world.
