Frank Bianco Obituary

Frank Bianco Sr., 84, of Saylorsburg, RR6, died Saturday, Sept. 12, in his home. He was the husband of Linda Ruby) Bianco. They would have observed their 29th wedding anniversary in October.

Born in Phillipsburg, N.J., he was a son of the late Carmella and Jennie Stagnito) Bianco.

He had been a machinist for M&M Mars in Hackettstown, N.J. for 22 years, retiring in 1988 and previously he had worked for the RCA Record Division in Rockaway, N.J.

He was a World War II Army veteran and an honorary member of the Disabled American Veterans. He received the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, the World War II Honorable Service Pin, the U.S. Army and World War II Victory Commemorative Medals, the Disabled Veterans of World War II Medal and the 50th Anniversary of World War II Medal.

Frank had donated 40 of his paintings to the Morris Canal Museum in Phillipsburg, N.J., and he had also worked with handicapped children.

He was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Frank Bianco of Marshalls Creek and Scott Bianco of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Lori Bianco-Cane of Tucson, Ariz.; three brothers, Angelo Bianco and William Bianco, both of Easton, and Thomas Bianco of Missouri; three sisters, Lucy Honey in Florida, and Marie Norris and Jeanette Hunara, both of Phillipsburg, N.J.; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, from the Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209, Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Felker officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery. A viewing will be held from noon until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
