Jeffrey R. Zimdahl, 59, of Mountainhome, died Friday, Sept. 3, at home. He was the husband of Patricia (Callie) Zimdahl.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Walter Zimdahl and Helen (Groner) Mulvihill.
He received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Rochester and master's degree in education from Syracuse University.
Jeff was employed as the director of Disability Services at Centenary College in Hackettstown, N.J. He also taught biology at Northampton Community College.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Bryan Zimdahl and Gregory Zimdahl of Mountainhome; one daughter, Heidi Zimdahl of Mountainhome; two brothers, Walter Zimdahl Jr. of Buffalo, N.Y., and Stephen Zimdahl of Pittsburgh; one sister, Laurie Zimdahl of St. Petersburg, Fla.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Carol Callie of Mountainhome; and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Father Alfred Vito will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, Canadensis. Cremation took place at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
Family and friends may gather from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 and 390, Paradise Valley.
In lieu flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1101 Hill St., Jessup, PA 18434; or American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852-9813.
