Dear Elaine and Family, We were so sorry to hear of your recent loss. I still remember John taking my Morry to the lake and fishing with him! He loved children and was always there with a kind word, patient teaching, and total caring. We still remember the Benoit house giving out the fresh pop corn every Halloween! These are precious memories and will stay with us forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all....Sincerely, Cindy Lowe and Morry, Elliot, and Dylan

My sincere heartfelt condolonces to the entire Benoit family. John Benoit was a man who I remember very well from growing up as one of Scott's friends. Mr. Benoit was a fixture, with his cameras hanging around his neck, at all of our football games from PBC straight through High School. I wont even attmept to count the number of photos he gave to Scott to give to all his friends and teammates. I have no doubt that many of those photos are now the property of many of my ex-teamates children (thanks so much Mr. Benoit for having the foresight to capture such a magical time for all of us). Many of us always admired Scott, not so much for being a good player - good not great, sorry Scott - but because his Dad cared so much about him and his friends. Over the past year I was fortunate enough to exchange some emails with Mr. Benoit and one thing I never understood was why he called himself Gunny Benoit. Reading the obituary today I could not help shake my head when I read that he was a gunnery seargeant in the US Marines, it all makes sense now. Mr. Benoit you will be missed but never forgotten!
