Uncle John,

you are the man and always will be. I shared many great times with you helping out my father with his house in the 1970's. You always had a great one liner to break the ice in any conversation.

You were a great father, uncle, brother, and friend. You will be sorely missed.

John J. Reid Sr. was my uncle through marrige to my mother's oldest sister. Though there is no blood relation, I love him as much as any member of my my immediate family. My Uncle John was like a second dad to me. His strength, determination, and work ethic continue to inspire me to be great. He may not have been the biggest man but he had the biggest heart I have ever seen. My world will never be the same without him in it, but I take comfort in still seeing his legacy through my cousins Rae, John Jr., Matt, and second cousin Devin. I thank God for putting my Uncle John in my life. Forever loved and forever missed until we meet again.

John,

Was my father in-law, He is my will. I am proud to call him Dad,

He was a strong man, a hard worker, an animal lover and love everyone, he made friends quickly and you knew he meant it when he ask you “how you doing”, He gave of himself selfish less, He was that neighbor with the snow blower after finishing his driveway, who, do others that couldn’t, never asking for a thing, He had a green Thumb raising a high assortment of beautiful flowers, He raised something else His children, with all the challenges that life may have brought, Rae, John, Matt are the most successful example of fortitude. Overcome hardships in there adolescent which made most children lose hope and become lost. One of John greatest gift he gave to his children was a strong motivating Force, Will.

You were taken to soon, only the good or forgiven die young, I know you are our protector in the dark, and I will be looking forward in seeing you, when God calls for me.
