Larry Adams Obituary

Larry Adams
07/12/1951 - 12/31/2020
Larry Alan Adams passed away on December 31st 2020, at 0045 at the age of 69 at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Philadelphia PA.
He was born in 1951, in the great western city of Casper Wyoming, to Murrel " Pete" Adams and Barbra Lee Adams. He was a 1970 Graduate of Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Springs Maryland.
After Graduation Larry enlisted in The United States Air force to begin his career in Aviation and Deployed to Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained in the line of duty. Upon return from Vietnam where he received an Honorable discharge, Larry once again felt the call to Military Service where he enlisted in The United States Navy to continue the enthusiasm of patriotic servitude, which has been followed by children (Jean- Claude and Sean and his oldest grandchild Jean- Claude Xavier).
Larry worked in aviation for over 40 years for companies such as, McDonnell Douglas, New York Air, Continental Airlines, Saudi Arabian Airlines and finally with United Parcel Services Global Aircraft Maintenance Division. Throughout his career, he held numerous positions, as an individual contributor as well as a leader rising through the ranks holding technician, supervisory and senior management positions. His love for the aviation community was shown by his dedication to the industry and the lessons he taught to his team and his peers and encouraged his children to follow in his footsteps.
Larry lived a wonderful life full of love. He was always the biggest guy in the room (literally), with the biggest smile. He was loved by so many in his life. He never said no to assisting or helping a friend in need, or anyone for that matter. He was able to reach people in a way that made them a better person. His metaphoric analogies and ability to tell stories, made even the most complicated issues seem simple to digest, as well as being able to capture the minds of adults and children alike.
He was man who enjoyed the simplest of pleasures in life and will be remembered for his hugs, his laughter and his Smile. His angelic voice was one that once you heard it, all seemed to be ok when he sang to you. He touched so many in life and will continue to do so even in his passing with the legacy his has passed down to everyone, especially to his children and grandchildren.
He was a combat veteran, a brother, a husband and a father. He is survived by his siblings, Judy Russalisii, Scot Adams and Tim Adams as well as his wife Sharon Adams, He is also survived by his children, Jean-Claude Adams, Daniel Adams, Sean Adams and his wife Raquel Adams, Jerome Bushong and his wife Dayna Bushong and Stephanie Bushong as well as his grandchildren, Jean-Claude Xavier Adams, Tiberious Octavious Adams, Sophia Charlotte Adams and Jerome Patrick Bushong III.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff of the Bryn Mawr ICU for the attention and dedication to the well-being of our beloved Larry.

Dear Larry,
Pocono Forest community has not been the same since you moved to the Upper Room, as Mahalia Jackson beautifully sings. Your sense of humor is missed, as is your common sense approach to daily matters and your intelligence. As I write, I recall your empathic gaze and the struggle with pain which you so admirably conducted for so long. Wherever you are in that Upper Room, you are remembered fondly and always will be - as long as I am here. To Sharon and Family big hugs in this new year 2023.

Dear Larry,
We all miss you at Pocono Forest Sportsman Club, and in the neighborhood; we often reminisce about you at your local haircutter´s.
Your sense of humor, kindness and friendliness touched us. all I know you are listening and probably shrugging your shoulders in a characteristic gesture, ready to tell another
captivating story related to this
conversation.
May your spirit inhabit comfortably the heavenly spheres, now that you no longer have the earthly pains and experience no more physical suffering. You will live on forever in our memories and we will continue talking.

Dear Larry and Family,
Larry, you have been a great friend and neighbor. I will always remember,
in the dead of winter, my then husband Keith was sick - his stomach.
Roads were slippery. Slipping and sliding, I couldn´t make it across our road.
Larry was undeterred. He brough ginger-ale and crackers to the other side of the road and handed them to me. Keith got better thanks to you.
Sweet man, overcame his daily pain with a smile and a shoulder shrug.
Larry, you will forever be here, in the breeze moving crowns of the trees, in tbe sound of tires on our dirt roads. Rest in Peace my Friend, we are remembering you forever.

Larry was the most caring, patient and wonderful man that I have had the pleasure to meet. His heart had to be as big as his smile, infact you could even hear his smile over the phone. No matter how busy he may have been, he would always stop everything he was doing to talk with me and make sure that his grandson and I were happy and doing ok. He always told me not to worry about things, because everything always had a way of working themselves out. I'll always cherish our talks and miss your jokes, even the corny ones. This isn't goodbye, just another see you later. Fly high and rest easy.

Larry was more than my neighbor, he was my family and "big brother". Larry was the sun in the morning and the moon at night, always shining. He was the voice of reason and just the most amazing loveable person in the world. His laugh was one of a kind and words could never describe his personality. His "whatever" shoulder shrug and massive bear hugs made my day no matter how I felt. GOD definitely broke the mold when he created this loving, caring and patient man. I will miss our conversations, laughs and jokes but they will never be forgotten. Love you forever "Big Man"

This man was my friend. He gave me a place to live when I was homeless after my house fire. We split firewood together. He called me to let me know a turkey was coming down the ridge while I was hunting and I got it. We went deer hunting. We went to the movies together. I escorted him when he traded in his Harley for his last ride on that bike he loved. He was a good man and will be sorely missed.
