Richard Anglemyer Obituary

Richard L. Anglemyer, 62, of Polk Township, Kunkletown, passed away at home on July 15. He was the loving husband of Virginia (Stiff) Anglemyer. They had been married 44 years.

Born in Gilbert on May 3, 1946, he was the son of the late Wilmer and Bertha (Behler) Anglemyer.

He had worked as the groundskeeper for the Delaware Water Gap Country Club, Delaware Water Gap for the past 10 years. He had also worked in the home building business for Randy Borger Solarized Homes, Kunkletown.

He was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, Kunkletown and The Indian Mt. Rod & Gun Club, Kresgeville. He was a member of the Monday Night Twilight Golf League at Indian Mt. Golf Course, Kresgeville.

In addition to his loving wife, Virginia, he is survived by three children, Rick Anglemyer and his wife, Laura, of Kunkletown, Jean Smith and her husband, Bernie, of Saylorsburg and Rose Arace and her husband, Joe, of Kresgeville; two brothers, Sam Anglemyer and his wife, Sandra, of Brodheadsville and Jim Anglemyer and his wife, Barbara, of Saylorsburg; seven grandchildren, Rebecca and Tucker Anglemyer of Kunkletown, Ashley, Skye and Bernie Smith of Saylorsburg, and Elizabeth and Katelin Arace of Kresgeville; and a nephew, Edward Anglemyer of Palmerton.

He was preceded in death by a son, Vance Anglemyer in 1993.

Viewing hours will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Friday, July 18, at the Donald N. Gower Funeral Home Inc., Route 209, Gilbert. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph A. Lachcik officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Indian Mt. Rod & Gun Club, P.O. Box 671, Kresgeville, PA 18333.
