Shirley was a great human being. I miss the days when I was younger and had heart surgery, I went up to visit with my Aunt Ginny and cousin Debbie. I loved being in the pocono's and relaxing , and taking hikes. I miss her dearly.

Mrs.Gitler always had a smile and laughed. My fondness memories are battle of the sexiest, Jelly Stone park camping. She was so funny, it was truly the weekend that my family would laugh as much as hers. She did that, she just brought the fun! Rain or shin. We will never forget her. A wonderful person! She will be missed by many....god bless

Shirley was a wonderful and faithful friend. Our friendship dates back to the 1970s. I always looked forward to our reuniting when they came back to the Pocono's. We shared many years as Co-Leaders of our Girl Scout Troop and worked together in PTA and Sports. Her daughter Amy is my God-daughter. Shirley will be dearly missed and my prayers are with the family. "Rest in Peace" dear Friend..........Mickey Smith

So many childhood memories, nights falling asleep at the Gitler house while the adults sat around the table and talked. I don’t even know how to express how my heart feels right now. I pray you are all
able to find comfort in each other over the next months/years.

To the Gitler family,
I was so sad to see the passing of Shirley. I had the pleasure of teaching her daughters while at PEC and Shirley was always an involved and happy parent as well as an avid supporter of the music department. My heart goes out to the family. I know you must have many happy memories to get you through this difficult time.
Rest In Peace Shirley.
