Shirley Pfeiffer Obituary

Shirley Yetter Pfeiffer
03/03/1936 - 07/17/2021
Shirley Yetter Pfeiffer, 85, of Wildwood FL, went home to Jesus on July 17, 2021, after having her children by her side.
Shirley was born March 3, 1936, in Brooklyn NY, to Jesse B and Daisy (Reiman) Kulp. She grew up in Stroudsburg, PA where she started life's adventures.
Shirley met her first husband, Carl L Yetter, at Carmen's Roller Rink in Minisink Hills. Together they started Marshalls Creek Mobile Home Sales (1961 to 1993) and developed Pocono Mobile Home Estates in 1969. Shirley was also on the Board of Directors for Kulp Foundry, Inc. In the beginning Carl and Shirley worked long hours while raising their 5 children, later in life they enjoyed traveling in their motorhome. After Carl passed in 1995, Shirley continued to travel with friends and family. She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and playing cards. She was a competitive multi solitaire player with fast hands and quick eyes. Shirley's family called her the "energizer-bunny" because she was always up for another adventure and did not slow down. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, whether it was a visit at her home or taking them on trips to Maine and Montana.
Shirley's adventures included trips to Brazil, China, Hawaii, Mexico, Bermuda, the Caribbean and travels throughout the United States and Canada.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Earl (Eric) Pfeiffer. Her children, Scott Yetter and Jane Muir-Isherwood of Cudjoe Key, FL; Ellen Jones and her husband, Ken Jones, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; Gary Yetter and his wife, April Yetter, of Lolo, MT; Susan Yetter and her husband, Mark Choy, of Stroudsburg, PA; Mary Hurd and her husband, Tom Hurd, of Missoula, MT. Her grandchildren, Heather Herweyer and her husband, Alex Herweyer, of Chattanooga TN; Mark Jones and his wife, Leah Kirstin Jones, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; Matthew Jones and Rachel Shin of Atlanta, GA. Her great-grandchildren, Rhealynn Jones, Fletcher Jones, Wendy Jones, Albert Herweyer and Amy Herweyer. Her sisters Anne Townsend and her husband, William Townsend, of North Carolina and Mildred Detrick and her husband, Glen Detrick, of Stroudsburg, PA. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Glenn Yetter of Beach Lake, PA and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was predeceased by her second husband Ronald Slutter, her siblings John Kulp, Jesse Kulp, and Grace Hatchman.
A private service will be held in Florida at a later date.
