SIMMONS, 51
ORLANDO - Elizabeth Jayne Simmons "Betsy" passed away on Saturday, May 4th, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is now comfortable and at peace in the hands of our Lord.
Born June 26, 1961, Betsy grew up in Winter Haven, FL, has lived in Central Florida area all of her life. She has spent the last 30 years working passionately as a dental hygienist in the Orlando area.
It was here that she nurtured many close friendships. Some of Betsy's most precious memories were the times she shared with these dear friends and was blessed by their love and support throughout her life and her illness.
Betsy enjoyed hosting family gatherings, was a dedicated and supportive mother, an avid bunco player and loved traveling with her friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter Kathryn "Katie" Simmons, her parents Jack and Thelma Henry of Winter Haven, her sister Debra Lopez (Jose), nephews Christopher and Jonathan Lopez of Fort Myers, and extended family in the Orlando area.
Join us for a celebration of Betsy's life at her home on Saturday May 11th at 6pm.

Katie - Your mom cleaned my teeth at Dr O's office for years and I could tell how much she loved being your mom. I always enjoyed chatting with her. She was a courageous lady and will be missed by many. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Kathryn,
I am so sorry for the loss of Betsy and Pryaing for the family.
I first met Betsy when she was hired at Dr.Reid's office many years ago.
We grew to be great friends but as many relationships do marriage, children and life got in our way of keeping in touch. Betsy and I had just re-connected through social media about 3 months ago. Many chats and catching up put us right back at the beginning of our friendship. Loved Betsy so much and she loved her family and Kathryn more than anything.
Besty you are at Peace and walking on streets of Gold with our Lord and Savior. Be Kathryn's continued Angel also watching over her and let her feel you in her heart every day through all the beautiful memories you shared here on earth. Betsy you were loved by so many you will NEVER be forgotten.
