Thomas W. Munday, 91, a resident of Rancho Bernardo for 51 years, died March 4, 2021.He was born on August 22, 1929, in Englewood, NJ. He married Sarah "Sally" M. Munday
on December 16, 1950. Until her death in 2010.Thomas served in the U.S. Navy 1950-1954.He worked at General Dynamics Electronics Div in Rochester, NY and San Diego, CA, where he was a Senior Engineering Specialist for 24+ years, where he retired in 1988.After retirement, he enjoyed being a Baseball Umpire for San Diego County Baseball Umpire Association and Assistant Manager for RSVP with San Diego Police Dept. for Rancho Bernardo. He also kept busy researching our Family's Genealogy.He leaves his daughter, Sarah Ellen Allee of New Ulm, MN, and his daughter Kathleen E. Sanks (Rick) of N. Las Vegas, NV, one granddaughter, two grandsons, two great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.Due to COVID, he will be laid to rest at Ft. Rosecrans at a future date.Celebration of Life was held March 24, 2021, at Grace Lutheran Church in Escondido, where he was a long-time member. I was privileged to have "Toga" as a best friend from kindergarten on. I treasure many memories with Tommy. I will miss our frequent phone visits very much.

The best gift my dad ever gave me was the gift of believing in me.
I will miss the relationship we built the last 11 years after Mom died.
