Rickey Loggins

1955 - 2023

PONTOTOC - David Rickey Loggins, 67, passed away February 11, 2023, at his home. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a truck driver for many years known as "Piccalo Player." After retiring he managed Tupelo Liquor and Wine for many years. He loved hunting, fishing, and music, where he played drums with many bands including The Dealer's Choice and Leo Mask and The County Mounties. He attended Hayseed Cowboy Church where he played drums with the Praise Team.

Rickey is survived by his children, Eric Loggins(Kollette) and Kristy Loggins Bolin(D.J.); his grandkids, Brandon Bolin(Shelby), Cole Loggins(Chandler), Ethan Loggins, and Hunter Bolin(Maegan); step grandchildren, Ally Ruth Pannell and Austin Roberts; his greatest joy and great-granddaughter, Finley Rae; and his siblings, Roger Loggins(Lorna) and Susan Loggins Brandon.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Sherry Murphree Loggins; and his parents, David Robert "Bean Pole" and Mildred Loggins.

Services will be Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 1PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Joey Moody officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 14th 5-8PM and Wednesday, February 15th 12PM until service time. Burial will follow in Thaxton Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Bolin, Cole Loggins, Ethan Loggins, Hunter Bolin, Austin Roberts, and Wyatt Moroney.
