Carol, as I am preparing to return this coming weekend to Keuka Park for the 60th reunion of the class of '63, I began to wonder how and where you are so I began looking. Sadly, I learned of Ernie's recent passing. I am thinking of you and your family and wishing you well. I believe you are living in Florida ? We are in California. I'm so sad that I lost my connection with you. Feel free to call me: 209-605-4411 or drop us a line at 2217 Christmas Tree Ct., Riverbank, CA 95367. Chuck also was sad to hear about Ernie. He was such a nice smart guy.

I fondly recall Uncle Ernie piloting the boat on the Niagara river with Mr Davenport valiantly trying to teach us how to ski. Well...that was hopeless but we had great fun! Loved visiting you on Grand Island. My love to you Aunt Carol and your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Whenever Uncle Ernie came to visit, we knew there would be fun! If we were lucky, he would bring his old guitar and we'd sing silly songs. Grateful that in our later years we found ourselves on the same page...see you (just a bit) later Unc!

I have only good memories of Uncle Ernie, as a gentle and kind man. He was loved by us all, especially by his big sister, my mother Lorraine. When I was just a little girl, he seemed like a giant of a man! Well, he was a giant of a man. We are sorry for your loss Aunt Carol. All our love to you and the entire family.

Ernie was a wonderful gentleman and a delight to talk to. He was so knowledgeable in so many subjects but the best conversation was when we talked about the Buffalo Bills. He will be so missed at Waterside Club IV and especially when we were all in the "Pit". Our deepest sympathy to you Carol and your entire family. Love Gillian & Elwood Blake
