I met Larry five years ago at a Charlotte County Democratic Club meeting, his sense of humor drew me to him and his dog less dog collar he was walking ! He participated last year in the P.G. Christmass parade as the Grinch and was the hit of the parade !!! I'll always remember him with chuckle !

I met Larry at the Writers on Air radio show in North Port. What a talented amazing person he was.
He was funny as heck and spread humor wherever he went. I still laugh when I think about him and the rubber chickens. I surprised him at one show and read him a special poem I had written for him.

Rubber Chick-a-Dee
Hey Larry McGee here´s a rubber Chick-a-Dee from me......you can put it in your pocket
Or fly it in a rocket
Or you can wear it on your hat
For all the world to see

This little Chick-A-Dee
Was so lost and alone
I had to pay a quarter so I could take him home

But tonight I turn him over
So I have to set him free
He´s going to a better place
Where he would want to be

A funny farm for rubber chickens
Where he will be adored
He´ll be with Uncle Larry
And he´ll never be ignored!

I extend my sincere sympathy to all the family. I am happy to have had the pleasure of being in the presence of such a man who entertained so many people. His humor will live on and I will certainly always smile when I remember him and his rubber chickens.

The human race needs more laughter and fun and Larry was a great provider of that and I am pleased to have known him. Beneath all the humor he was a kind and gentle soul.
I trust you will place a favorite rubber chicken of his to accompany him on his final journey!
Kindest regards from
