LUCASVILLE – Clara June VanKirk, known as June to her family and friends, was called home by our Lord Friday, January 28, 2022. She was born September 29, 1931 in Lucasville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, John David VanKirk, her parents, Ralph and Myrtle Mullins Lundy, three sisters, Lydia Hinze, Kathryn Riley, Audrey Carver.
She is survived by two sons, David (Nancy) VanKirk, Mark (Marina) VanKirk both of Lucasville; one daughter, Sheila (Jim) Elkins of Baroda, Michigan; six grandchildren, Adam VanKirk, Luke Elkins, Gage Elkins, Nathan VanKirk, Melanie Ramey, Mollie Blethew, and ten great grandchildren.
She was a member of Dry Run Church of Christ. She was a strong-willed woman and much loved by her family. She loved her family very much and will be missed and always remembered. May she find everlasting peace and happiness in the house of our Lord.
Funeral services will be conducted at Noon Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Mark Seevers officiating. Burial will be in Scioto Burial Park in McDermott. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Remembering June and her sisters. Lovely ladies and many sweet memories of growing up and visiting them and their families or seeing them at Grandpa & Grandma Hill's house on 3rd Street. They will not be forgotten and fondly remembered.
