Darcie McCoy Obituary
WHEELERSBURG - Darcie Layne-McCoy, age 9 of Wheelersburg went to meet her Heavenly Father on Friday August 26, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born September 26, 2012 in Ashland, KY a daughter of Ernie T. McCoy and Christina (Lowe) McCoy. She was a student at Wheelersburg Elementary School, loved to ride dirt bikes, 4 wheelers and any off road vehicle. She loved going to school, sports especially softball, basketball and just being around her friends.
Besides her parents, Darcie is also survived by three brothers, Chris McCoy and wife Jade of Greenup, KY, Justin McCoy of Greenup, KY and Jaxon Donta of Wheelersburg; two sisters, Elyssa McCoy and Joey Little of Saltlick, KY, and Stella Donta of Wheelersburg; grandparents, Charlie "Chuck" Lowe and wife Janice of Westwood, Ky.; an aunt, Lydia Lowe of Lavalette, WV.
Darcie was a very vibrant girl who loved bold, bright colors especially yellow. To honor her memory attendees are encouraged to wear bright colors.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 12 Noon Thursday September 1, 2022 at Cornerstone Church of The Nazarene in Wheelersburg. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Wednesday August 31, 2022 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.
