To the Kelly-McKinley family, the news of Kay's passing has weighed heavy on the hearts on many, this moment feels like a dream, over the years, Kay has shared wisdom, showed me how to love family, be positive, and love the lord our heavenly father. You will be missed by many, thank you family for sharing Kay with us all. R.I.H

My deepest condolences to this family. Certainly Kay did have a distinct, inherent matriarchal quality about her and I imagine her family to be so very devastated with this sudden loss. I worked with Kay in corrections and she was deeply respected and loved by all of us at ORV. I remember the day I met her for we opened that institution and watched it close. She had a presence one was immediately aware of in a room and blessed by the conversation that followed if one was wise enough to engage. Make no mistake, she is someone you never forget. I am so sorry that I won't have the opportunity to visit with her as I moved away in 2011 but plan to come back to visit some of my friends someday. Officer Kay Kelly was always someone I considered a sincere friend. What a loss to her family.
