LEVA BLOOMFIELD
Leva Thacker Bloomfield, 85, of Flatwoods, KY, passed from this life and entered her heavenly home on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Boyd County Nursing and Rehab in Ashland, KY.
Mrs. Bloomfield entered this life on April 6, 1930 in Lyra, OH. She was a daughter of the late Ervin and Grace Allen Thacker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wells T. Bloomfield; her son, Charles "Chuck" Bloomfield; three brothers, Smith, Cecil, and Ezra Thacker; two sisters, Dorothy Fannin and Edith Phipps; and three infant siblings.
Mrs. Bloomfield was a homemaker, but had worked in interior design with Martings. She was a member of Clyffside Worship in Ashland, KY, which was formerly the International Pentecostal Church of Christ on 39th Street in Ashland, KY.
She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, two daughters, Shirley Sue (John Darin) Rowsey of Flatwoods, KY, and Claudette (Joe) Ferguson of Portsmouth, OH; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elwood Thacker and Karl (Winnie) Thacker both of Gallipolis, OH; a sister, Wilma Cole Yingling of Maryland; and a host of extended family and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Pastor Dwayne Young, Rev. Clyde Hughes, Pastor Cline McCallister, and Minister Michael Rowsey officiating. A private committal service will be performed at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Wheelersburg, OH.
The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.baileyfamilyfuneralhome.com on the family's behalf.
