SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Peter J. Costas, formerly of Portsmouth, died in Scottsdale AZ on Feb.20 following a brief illness. Pete was a graduate of Portsmouth High School and The Ohio State University. He is survived by his wife, Candace, daughter Barbara and son -in-law John Biggs, son MacDonald and daughter-in-law Amy, son Christopher, a sister Barbara,and brothers George and Tom. Pete leaves beloved grandchildren Jack and David Biggs and Elizabeth Jane Costas. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Jane, and is survived by mother-in-law Barbara, brothers in-in-law Scott, Kirk, Eric, and Bruce MacDonald along with many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the Biggs family for their loving care of the grandchildren. A celebration of Pete's life will be held at a later date in Portsmouth.

Candy and Family, I am saddened to know of Pete's death. I have many fond rememberences of Pete and me back in "The Old Days". I always considered Pete as one of the best guys I've ever known. Pete and I became best friends in 1968 when he and his family moved to Portsmouth from Michigan. Only time and distance has seperated us from friendship on a regular basis. Pete will be forever remembered and missed by many.
