Agurtha Hameed

Agurtha Hameed was born on October 25, 1946, in Medcalf, Georgia, and was laid to rest on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. She was the second child of Thelma Robinson. She moved to Orlando, Florida, and made her final resting place in Gary, Indiana. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Gary, Indiana, Class of 1965.Agurtha was preceded in death by her husband Charles Hameed, daughter Ayesha L. Hood, son Ishmael Hood, mother Thelma Robinson and two sisters Roni Rollins and Brenda Chambers. She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, sons Tywan (Ulene) Hood, Jameel Hood and Charles Hood, III; brothers, John Anthony (Kim) Robinson and Joseph Robinson, one grandson and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends. Visitation, Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. all services at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 West 11th Avenue. Rev. R.E. Robinson officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
