Ann L. Mitchell

Mitchell, Ann L. Age 75, of Portage passed away Tuesday January 8, 2013 at her daughters home in Rockford, IL. She was born December 16, 1937 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Lucian and Violet Mae (Gillikin) Meekins. She was a homemaker and loving mother who loved being crowned Pulmonary Queen. She moved back to Indiana in 1987. She is survived by her son, David Max Nobles, Jr.; her four daughters, Debra J. Nobles of Texas, Ima Belle Nobles of Hobart, Jenny L Bradford of Tennessee and Joann (Martin) Law of Rockford, IL; her two brothers, Lucian M. (Sharon) Meekins Jr. of Norfolk, VA, and Gordon L. (Darlene) Meekins of Norfolk, VA; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Mindy; her brother, William L. Meekins; her two sisters, Virginia Dare Newcomb and Erma Mae Reynolds. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Friday January 11, 2013 at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel 600 West Old Ridge Road. Cremation will follow.
