Aretha Mae "Retha" Moore

ARETHA MAE MOORE "RETHA" (nee SCOTT) Age 53. Our loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 18, 2004, in Lansing, Michigan, following a long illness. Both parents, Leona and Celemenstine Scott, preceded in death, and her brother, Sammie, paternal and maternal grandparents. She was a member of New Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. A graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1969. She was employed at U.S. Steel as a Crane Operator, volunteered at Melton School, and assisted with wheelchair project with Commissioner Rudy Clay. She is survived by a loving husband of 31 years, Clarence Moore Sr. of Lansing, MI; 3 daughters, Linda Adams of Gary, IN, Brenda Adams and Mavis K. Moore, both of Lansing, MI; 3 grandsons; 1 sister, Renea (Brian) of Gary, IN; devoted brother, Kenneth (Sharon) Scott of Lansing, MI; stepson, Clarence Moore Jr.; stepdaughter, Charmine Moore; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation Wednesday, September 22, 2004, from 12 to 8:00 p.m., family hour 6 - 7:00 p.m. at Guy & Allen Funeral Chapel. Funeral services Thursday, September 23, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at the New Mt.
