JULIA H. GEIGER
AGE: 97 TINTON FALLS
Julia H. Geiger, 97, of Tinton Falls died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Renaissance Gardens. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa; grew up in Asbury Park and graduated from Asbury Park High School. Julia lived in Oceanport for over 50 years prior to moving to Tinton Falls. Julia worked for the Department of Defense at Ft. Monmouth for more than 20 years before retiring. She was a charter and life member of the Oceanport Senior Citizens.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick C. Geiger; her parents, Peter G and Julia K. Hoffman; her brother, Earl Hoffman and her sisters, Ruth H. McCrea and Elsie H. Macdonald. Julia is survived by her son, Dr. Fredrick C. Geiger, Jr.; her daughter and son-in-law, Judith A. and Elwood L. Baxter.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street at Broadway, Long Branch. The funeral service will be Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. You may light a candle of condolence by visiting www.woolleyfh.com. Those wishing may make a contribution to a charity of your choice.
