Lois and family, I just heard about Bob's death. My condolences to all of you. I have many fond memories of Bob. We had many friendly battles at Midwest Steel and the scars to prove it. He believed in the causes he fought for and was not afraid to fight for them. What a good legacy to reflect on. Larry Ryan

Lois and family,
Carl and I were so sorry to hear about Bob. He was a good friend, but also contributed so much thru all the years that he worked for the MWS hourly employees union. The employees had the best representation they could have ever had with Bob. He was the driver in seeing that all were treated fairly and were all represented the way he would have wanted to be represented.
Take care and God Bless

I have a good share of memories of Bob, but the best for me is sitting on a park bench in Warsaw, Poland on a sunny summer day. Bob had come to Poland as a favor to me to help convince the Solidarity guys at a local steel mill in Ostorowiec that it was worth while to work together with management. He had plenty of experience with that. Anyhow, Bob said to me - If only they could see me now. Who I asked. The people in Donora - he said smiling.

Melonie, sorry to hear about your dad, I always liked him and saw him around the mill many many years ago when I used to work there. I am not sure but think he may have had something to do with getting me a cranemans job when I worked there. Tough thing to deal with anytime but especially during the holidays.
