Clarence Woodson Hall Jr.

1938 - 2021

Clarence Woodson Hall Jr. was born October 30, 1938, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky to the late Clarence Woodson Senior and Jessie Evelyn Thomas Hall. Clarence was the youngest of 2 children. Clarence was a proud graduate from Lincoln Institute (High School) in Simpsonville, KY in 1957. Clarence attended Kentucky State College for 1 year in Frankfort, KY, and soon entered the United States Army. Upon an honorable discharge, he attended Knoxville College in Knoxville, TN where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1966. Following graduation Clarence moved to Gary, Indiana to be closer to his sister Margaret Ballard Hall. Clarence joined St. Timothy Community Church and was an active member of the October Birthday Club. Clarence entered eternal life on December 7 at Methodist Hospital Northlake following several health challenges. He is preceded in death by his parents and loving sister. He leaves to cherish wonderful memories of his signature laugh and wit: daughter Gabrielle (Darnell) Fentress of Gary, Indiana, stepdaughter Danyele (James) Davis of Gary, Indiana; grandchildren -- Dynasty, Geovani, Areanna, Armon Fentress and Ciara A. Davis; Cousins -- Joy Carolyn Thomas of Gary, Indiana, Elizbeth Shannon of Harrodsburg, KY; The Ballard Family -- Carolyn Ballard, Richard (Gloria) Ballard, Dana and Ashley of Chicago, IL; and Bridget Koeniy of Houston, TX. Thomas Cummins and Leonard (Mary Jane) Cummins of Portland, Maine; extended family Rachel S. Cooper, Gary, IN, Ernita Cooper of Chicago, IL and Tyra Cooper of Gary, IN; and a host of other family, friends and classmates. Visitation Monday, December 13, 2021, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 West 11th Avenue. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park
