David Barnack Obituary

DAVID L. BARNACK Merrillville, Indiana Age 85 passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at home. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church; retired from U.S. Steel Loading Department with 42 years of service. David was an Army combat veteran serving in World War II in Europe. He was preceded in death by parents, John and Mary Barnack; brothers, Joseph, John and Arthur and sister, Eleanor. David is survived by his loving wife of 59 yearss, Elvera Barnack of Merrillville; children, Dennis Barnack, Sandy (Tom) Smith, Dave (Rolande) Barnack Jr., Doug (Christine) Barnack; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Tom (Carol) Barnack of Knox, Bob (Juanita) Barnack of Glendale, California; sisters, Lillian Foremski of Portage, Mary Kenney of South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2006 at 10 a.m. directly at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 801 W. 73rd Avenue, Merrillville, Reverend Dennis J. Teles officiating. Burial to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends may call at the Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville, Friday, January 13 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A wake service will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. Mr. Barnack may also be viewed directly at the church Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of mass at 10 a.m.
