EARNESTINE (SINGLETON) BEAMON Earnestine Beamon, age 85, of Camden, MS, and a four-year resident of Gary, IN, made her transition August 25, 2003, at Methodist Hospital, Gary, IN. She has been a member of Liberty Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Camden, MS, since childhood. After relocating, she became a member of St. John A.M.E. Church, East Chicago, IN. Earnestine's husband of 61 years, Clement Beamon, preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Chaplain Colonel (ret.) Walter (Ikie) Beamon of Crestview, FL; four daughters, Myra (Rev. Horace) Buckley of Jackson, MS, Agnes (Nathaniel) George, Vivian (Rev. Harold) Barnwell, both of Gary, IN, and Velma Elaine (Charles, Jr.) of Park Forest, IL; 12 grandchildren, Nathalie (Brelis) Spiller, Horace A.C. (Dr. Tangela) Buckley, Carol Buckley, Dr. Cedric (Loretta) Buckley, Rev. Reginald (Dr. Lucretia) Buckley, Angela Greenlee, Harold R. Barnwell, Walter A. Beamon, Nathaniel V. George, Erin Briana George, Kristin Young, Justin Young; 12 great-grandchil-dren; one sister, Edna Beamon of Camden, MS; and one sister-in-law, Barbara Singleton of Canton, MS. There will be visitation Wednesday, August 27, 2003, 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. and Wake 7:00 -8:00 p.m., Guy & Allen Funeral Home, Gary, IN. Visitation will be Friday, August 29, 2003, 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. with Family Hour 6 - 8:00 p.m. Family Memorial Funeral Chapel, Canton, MS. Interment will be at Liberty Chapel A.M.E.
