To Mrs. Emma Douglas's Family:
Althouh I never had the opportunity to meet Ms. Douglas, I am acquainted with her through her son, Nate. He often talked about her with love and affection, so I know she must have been his "Jewel". Words cannot express the sorrow of your loss, but I can say that time will lessen the hurt and pain you all must feel. Mrs. Douglas's "Legacy"(her memories)is something you all can treasure for a lifetime. You all have my "Sympathy and Prayer". "Go With God".
A personal friend of Nathaniel.

To the Family: My deepest sympathy in your time of sorrow. I met Ms. Emma several years ago and found her to be a wonderful person. Always cherish your mother's memories. She spoke with Korey (a granddaughter) and myself recently and had plans for her to attend Korey's graduation. God had other plans. However, she will remain in our hearts forever. With heartfelt sympathy. Lucy Woods

Every time I had the opportunity to visit Emma she was always a gracious hostess. Although my two children did not know Emma, I am sure that they will feel the void of not having her as their grandmother. Our condolences go out to the friends and relations of Emma. Judith Franklin AA

Hi my name is Nadine Franklin and I am one of Ms. Douglas's grandchildren. I am Nate's daughter. I met Ms. Douglas once or twice when I was younger and do not remember much about her. I did not get to see her much because of my mom and Nate's divorce. I just wanted to give my condolences to the family and I am sure if I was able to see her more often I would have seen that she was a good woman. Again I am sorry for your loss.

To the Douglas Family with sincere gratitude for the unselfish help your Mom gave to my family. Emma helped out my dad, Herbert Caldwell, in his time of need and I will be eternally grateful to her for that. She was an angel here on earth. God bless you all.
