Frank Staudohar Obituary

FRANK THOMAS STAUDOHAR Lakes of the Four Seasons Passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2006, at the Chicagoland Christian Village. He was born May 28, 1930, in Hibbing, MN, to the late John and Anna (Stark) Staudohar. Frank is survived by Joyce, his wife of 48 years; son, Peter John Staudohar of Gilbert, MN; daughter, Ann Marie (Raymond) Brunger of Chicago, IL; granddaughter, Stephanie Ann Staudohar; grandson, Cole Raymond Brunger; brother, Edward Staudohar of Hibbing, MN; sister, Mary Krueger of Chisholm, MN; 2 sisters-in-law, Viola Staudohar and Alphea Iverson; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother, William Staudohar. Frank graduated from Hibbing High School, University of Minnesota with a B.S. Degree and earned his Masters Degree at Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas. After graduation from college he served in the U.S. Air Force and eventually was stationed in Japan. He began his career with U.S. Steel in Duluth as a management trainee. Frank became General Manager when the plant was downsized and eventually closed. He was transferred to U.S. Steel, Gary Works, in Human Relations. He also worked at U.S. Steel, South Works. After retiring from U.S. Steel, he worked for 6 years at Bethlehem Steel, Burns Harbor plant. After retirement, Frank and Joyce spent summers at their lake home near Hibbing, MN. Frank became active in community affairs at Four Seasons. He served on several committees and attended the Property Owners Association meetings. He served as Interim Community Manager twice. He loved Four Seasons and wanted to see the community continue as a wonderful place to raise a family. Frank was involved in several professional organizations during his lifetime. He became very active in the Four Seasns Lions Club working on all of their projects. He especially enjoyed the Lions Children's Christmas Party and the Easter Egg Hunt. Frank was past member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and was a member of the U.S. Steel Supervisors Club for 30 years. He enjoyed playing bridge with various groups in the Four Seasons. He enjoyed casual golfing at the Four Seasons golf course. Frank loved hunting and fishing and would spend time in Minnesota enjoying these sports. He also loved his family pets and was compassionate to all of God's creatures. The family will sadly miss this gentle and kind man. We would like to thank the Chicagoland Christian Village staff for their compassionate care and the hospice service there. We would also like to thank the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church for their continued love and prayers. Memorials may be made to the Four Seasons Lions Club or Cross of Christ Lutheran Church.
