Like leaves in the wind,

If we see one leaf fall it will have our undivided attention
We look out enamored by the beautiful dance that is nature

The whimsical simplicity of a leaf being carried by the wind
As soon as it touches the ground We place no value because it happens

Everyday...
Everywhere...

We grow so accustomed to the foliage that it becomes child's play to acknowledge it.
Immature, impressionable to still be affected by such a common occurrence.

As we individually grow we no longer allow seeds to be sewn
The natural order of time and decomposition around a tree is scorned

We quickly manicure our lawns and place judgement on those who haven't.

If we took the time to accept the events as they unfold
Seeds would be sewn
Roots would become stronger
Tree branches would reach further.

But our selfish immediacy would never allow that.

We are only as strong as the branch we are connected to.
Every branch is only as strong as the tree it is connected to.

Every tree is only as strong as its roots which grasp the essence of life as we know it.

Our tree of life provides never ending opportunity to impart knowledge and grow.
To strengthen our roots

To evolve

We do ourselves an injustice because we don't acknowledge this until we begin to feel the wind ourselves.

Like leaves in the wind
