George Shelby Sinclair Jr. "Lil' George" passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 at Methodist Hospital Northlake Campus at the age of 82. He was born on December 28, 1932 to George Sr. and Catherine Sinclair in Indianola, Mississippi. He attended Roosevelt High School, joined the United States Army, served in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in February 1957. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Barbara Fletcher Sinclair; he leaves to mourn his passing two sons, Sterling (wife Maria of Gary, IN), Scottie (wife Laurie Sinclair of Mechanicsville, VA); one surrogate son Corwin (Clarissa Fletcher of Columbia, TN); twelve grandchildren. Visitation at Smith, Bizzell and Warner Funeral Home, 4209 Grant Street, Gary, Indiana on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 12-8 p.m., family hour 6-8 p.m. Funeral service 11 a.m., Friday, December 18, 2015 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 2307 Rhode Island St., Gary, Indiana. Burial at Evergreen Memorial Park, Hobart, Indiana.
