GREGORY BOWYER "DC" Age 50, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2004, at Methodist Hospital in Gary, Indiana. Born on July 3, 1953, in Washington, DC. A Gary resident since 1990. Graduated from Cordozo High School in Washington, DC, and thereafter worked at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing for several years. He was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Helen Bowyer, and 1 brother, Dennis Bowyer; maternal and paternal grandmothers, Elsie Jackson and Ethel Bowyer; uncle and aunt, Lawrence and Annie Carter; and uncle, Paul Simpson. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Gretta; 5 sons, Derrick Twyman and Shawn Jones of Washington, DC, Adam Kent of Chicago, Paul Bowyer of Stone Mountain, GA, Gregory Bowyer of Gary; 5 grandchildren, Diamond, Derrick, Demari, De-Angelo and Tyriq, all of Washington, DC; 3 brothers, Geoffrey Bowyer of Los Angeles, CA, Michael (Bernadine) Bowyer of Camp Springs, MD, Brian Carter of Washington, DC; 3 sisters, Constance (Sanatone) Reddix, Cheri (Robert Gary) Bowyer, Jeanene Fields, all of Washington, DC; 6 nephews, Anthony Reddix, Darrell (Tracie) Reddix, Alex Gary, David Fields, Michael and Marsaillis Bowyer; 2 nieces, Lauren and Sharian Fields; 2 great-nephews, Darrell Jr. and Amari. Visitation Thursday, February 5, 2004, from 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. with family hour from 7 - 8 p.m. at the Guy & Allen Chapel, 2959 W. 11th Ave. Shipping to Marshall Funeral Home, 4217 9th Street NW, Washington, DC 20011, (202) 723-1250.
