HELEN M. CROUCH (BURROUGHS) "Granny" Merrillville, Indiana Helen Crouch, affectionately known as "Granny," age 80, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2007, at home. She was born December 21, 1926, in Uriah, AL to Ed and Carlene Burroughs. She married Lewis E. Crouch in 1959. Helen was a faithful member of New Revelation Baptist Church for 22 years and served on the Healthcare (Nurses Board), Ruth Circle and Pastor's Boosters. She was preceded in death by her mother Carlene, father Ed, husband Lewis E. Crouch, stepdaughter Carol Ann Harmon, 4 sisters and 5 brothers. She is survived by 1 son, Omar Rashad of Steger, IL; 1 daughter, Barbara (Johnnie) Bush of Gary, IN; 1 stepdaughter, Mattie Louise Hardy of Memphis, TN; 2 brothers, Johnny (Golena) Burroughs of Toledo, OH, and Billy (Mary) Burroughs of Huntsville, AL; 2 sisters, Betty (Charles) Winston of Warrenville Heights, OH, and Willie Ridgeway of Decatur, GA; 2 brothers-in-law, Lairy Crouch of Gary, IN, and Royal (Cora) Crouch of Gary, IN; 10 grandchildren, LaTanza Woodson, Tiffany Rashad, Bridgette Lane, Jamela Rashad, Shavel Bush, Tammy Blocker, Jamaal Ra-shad, Jameel Rashad, Troy Greene, Karon Harmon; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be Friday, March 16, 2007, from 12 to 8 p.m., family hour 7 - 8 p.m. at Guy & Allen Funeral Home, 2959 W. 11th Ave., Gary, IN. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2007, 1:30 p.m. at New Revelation Missionary Baptist Church, 3140 W. 21st Ave., Gary, IN. Rev. R.T. Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Hobart, IN. Professional services rendered by Guy & Allen Funeral Directors, Inc.

Remembering You

Your time on earth seemed all too brief because I wanted you in my life forever.

And although I really miss you, in my heart I know that you are at peace.

Still, countless times throughout the day I find myself remembering you.

Although I cannot see or hear you, I know that you are with me.
I'll feel you in the warmth of the summer sun.

I'll see you in the brilliance of autumn leaves.

You'll be beside me in the peacefulness of a gentle snowfall

To my family, words cannot express how I feel about the passing of Aunt Helen. I'm going to truly miss her smile, laugh and the wonderful talks we had. She always listened and never put you down, and loved us all, no matter what we did. No more pain Aunt Helen, no more pain. Love always Beth.
