Jesse Gabbard Obituary

JESSE A. GABBARD Westville, Indiana Jesse A. Gabbard, age 20, of Westville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2006. Jesse was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Otis, IN. Jesse was in active duty with the U.S. Army, currently serving in Iraq and was home on leave. He graduated from the 3 C's and was an avid outdoorsman. Jesse was born in Valparaiso, IN on March 3, 1986 to Denver and Regina (Bottorff) Gabbard of Westville, IN; also surviving are his grandparents, James and Barbara Bottorff of Chesterton, IN; sister, Gene Marie Gabbard of Westville, IN; brother, Travis (Melissa) Gabbard of Hebron, IN; nephew and godson, Travis Gabbard Jr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1700 N. Monticello, Valparaiso, IN with Rev. John Dreyer officiating. Interment in the Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, IN. The visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2006 from 2-8 p.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN.

We were so happy we got to see Jesse before he went back to Iraq. Sadly, we just found out today, May 17, that he had died. We are so sorry for your loss.

To the parents of Jesse,

I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your child. This man was a great

child, as well as a proud and brave soldier that was so wonderful to protect us here by going to Iraq to fight for a better tomorrow. He will not be never be forgotten. I pray his walk home to Heaven will be as proud and gracefull as his life here on earth was. I will contiue to pray for your whole family and please remember that God will ease your pain in time and that jesse's memory will always keep him alive.

To Jesse's Family,

I was very saddend to hear of this accident. I am a volunteer with SOM (support our military). We send packages to the troops over seas. We are so sorry for your loss and you have our support in this trying time. If it's any consoltation,I am VERY grateful for jesse's contribution to making my life safe from terrorists and letting me live free. I am FOREVER grateful and in his debt. Again, I am sorry. matt
