Joan and I spent time in the steel mill during the 70's, and I was inspired by her determination and fearlessness. I recall union meetings, lunches, and even a 50's concert she invited me to. I am so proud of her for following her dream in education and the rights of women. Rest easy Joan.

So sorry to hear about your mom. She was a blast. I remember in the summer of 83 playing rummy at your house and on her turn she dealt 1 card! I have thought of you all often and wondered how you've been. Please contact me. It will be great to catch up.
