JOE MICHAEL REESE, SR. Sunrise: 3-26-45, Sunset: 3-29-04 Joe M. Reese (age 59) was born, March 26, 1945 at Methodist Hospital in Gary, Indiana and graduated from Roosevelt High School class of 1963. Joe was employed at Inland Steel for 15 years and served as Sergeant in the U.S. Army for 6 years. He also worked for the Chicago Paper Board for 16 years and served as President of his companies' Teamster's Union throughout those years. Joe worked for Lake County Community Corrections until his health failed him. Joe had a love for music and photography and mostly of his family. Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Jesse T. Reese in (1999). He leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife Yvonne, his loving mother, Malazine Reese, two brothers, Franklin (Betty) Reese and Albert Scott, two sisters, Cheryl (Willie) Eastland, all of Gary, IN and Bathsheba Livingston of Detroit, MI, two daughters, Veronica (Dana Point, CA), Valerie (Gary, IN) and one son, J. Michael Reese (Seattle, WA), four step-children, Jimmie Jr., Sheretta, Sean, and Jeremiah, four grandchildren, Stephanie, Demontre, Samuel and December, and one great-grand-daughter, Kayla. Also leaving to cherish his memory are his two loving nephews; Willie (Karla) Eastland and Juhmal Eastland and special friends, Elijah (Vernita) Cole and a host of many other family and friends. Funeral arrrangements are being prepared with the U.S. Veteran's Administration in the State of Michigan. The family asks that any flowers, cards or other condolences be sent to: Joe Michael Reese c/o Malazine Reese and Yvonne Reese, 2957 W. 11th Avenue, Gary, IN 46404. To Our Cousins, Veronica, Valerie, and Michael. Our hearts are deeply sadden by the lost of your Father. We Love Uncle Joe and he will be sadly missed. We will cherished the Joyous memories of your Dad and our Dad (Jessie). Look to God for Strength and Comfort, he will bring you through, just as he did for us.

We The Family Feel Sorrow And Deep Pain For Joe Reese Sr. Who Have Gone To Be With Christ. If Our Loves Ones Know The Lord, Our Loss Becomes Their Gain. The Body Is To Be Present With The Lord (2 Corinthians 5:1-8). We The Reese Family Have Reason To Rejoice-Even In Our Sorrow.
