My
Deepest sympathy to the entire loving family. Mr.Pellar was certainly a
legend in his own time, and I amongst many, appreciated his own unique
way of being. He could never scare me the way he could the other
nurses!!!There are probably few kinder, more generous men on the
planet,and I assured them,HE WAS ALL BARK...NO BITE. I know your
sadness and emptiness that you feel now,my heart goes out to all of
you. Here is a little gift I am passing on to you...it so helped me,and
I forever carry it in my heart. Remember and take peace with this
true and comforting little writing. AND SO YOU MUST KNOW: He is
away, yet ever near; His presence fills each day. His voice, his smile,
are everywhere...a memory away. And tho he is no longer seen by family
or friend; HE lives because he was dearly loved...AND LOVE CAN NEVER
END.

I am truly grateful for the too brief a time I knew Mr. Pellar. I'll never forget the direction and energy he provided as a board member of the Humane Society Calumet Area. The Pellar Family's generosity toward the animals of the Chicagoland Area has been inspirational beyond measure.

Joe Pellar was a great man who has left behind a wonderful legacy of memories to all of us. I had the privilege of sharing many outstanding fishing adventures with Joe and Russ over the years from Alaska to the Bahama Islands and points in between.
May God Bless the Pellar family as they celebrate Joe's life as well as his graduation into Heaven...

My wife and I never had the pleasure of meeting this man but did know his son. The father's glory is in his son and the good moral character of his son is a reflection of the goodness of this man. The world is a little sadder without him but we will all rejoice some day when together we all will be with the Lord. Our wish is that your loss is softened by the Lord's lovingkindness and tender mercies and that only the best memories of times together replace the sorrow. God bless the entire Pellar family. With Joe's passing, we have lost such a kind, caring, and gentle man. I will remember him for his sweet smile, especially when admiring his dear Elaine, and his children. His zest for life was contagious - an inspiration to friends and family. I always had great respect for him. Thinking only good thoughts for your wonderful family during this very difficult time. He was one great guy who gave life a real ride. I shall always have many fond memories from over the years. He was tough but Oh So Gentle. My deepest sympathy to the entire family which he and Elaine so beautifully authored. So sorry I am not able to attend his services as I write this note from my Mexican winter home.
