I send my deepest sympathy to the entire Cobert family.Kenny and I were teammates on Horace Mann's basketball team 75-78. He was a good friend with a great spirit.I will always remember K-Cobb and the good times we had. REST IN PEACE.

To Melinda, Mrs Ward (Colbert), Wendy, Dawn & the whole Colbert family my deepest sympathies. It feels so surreal, like a bad dream. But yes our heavenly father has called my brother home. I, like so many others go all way back to Taney St in the late 60`s. We even came to ATL in the 80`s around the same time. My prayers will ALWAYS be with the family. If there`s anything you need don`t hesitate to ask.

I want everyone to know that Kenney had made his peace with the Lord. I know this because he told me and Glen Holland. From Fifth Ave in Gary, to Buford Hwy, to Peachtree Road in Atlanta, for over thirty years we were friends. With respect and admiration I bid my brother adieu.
I was the one who gave him the nickname K-Cobb after seeing several amazing pitches.

You and your family are in my prayers. I am so deeply saddened by your loss. Please know that I will continue to pray for you'll each and everyday and that God grant you and your family peace during this difficullt time. Not only did you lose a son, brother, I lost a friend. We go back a long way from Taney St. to 4th place, from Chase school to Horace Mann High, and from Gary to Atlanta. Although, there are many miles between us fond memories will continue to live in my heart. Be strong, have faith, and trust in the Lord to see you through this difficult time and know he will never forsaken you because, he will make all things possible Remember the good times he has brought to all of our lives.
