Dear Mother Oliver, Pastors Cedric, Joyce Oliver and entire Oliver Family:

Your husband and father (known to me as “Pop Oliver”) was like a father or grandfather to me. He was dear to me and I appreciated him for all that he did. I knew Pop Oliver to be a very self less person, because he was always concerned and cared about everyone else first. When I was involved in the Tape and Sunday school ministry, he would always ask me if I needed help and kept the building open as long as I needed. To be certain that everyone was safe, he’d watch over us as we went to our cars.

I’ll never forget when I had the opportunity to visit with him in the nursing home. He was always so pleasant. His mind was very sharp and I learned a lot about his experience in the military. He kept the conversation going more than we did and kept us laughing a lot.

Pop Oliver touched many. When I was around Pop Oliver, he made me feel just like family. And after the passing of my own father, he made me feel the love of a father again. I still thought about him often as I relocated. Pop Oliver was truly a special man and a gift from God. Not only that, because of Pop and Mother Oliver, I was joined into a beautiful church family where my spiritual parents were Pastor Cedric and Joyce Oliver. My life will always be affect by the anointing and love of the entire Oliver family. I love each and every one of you. May God continue to use you al and bless your lives. We will see and rejoice with “Pop Oliver" again. My prayers are with you all.

Love Always.
