Lucy Murphy Obituary

Lucy Mae Murphy (Hodge) was born on November 18,1930, and she was ushered into the presence of her Heavenly Father on October 28, 2018. Lucy was greeted in heaven by her parents Wade and Mary Hodge, loving husband Albert Murphy Sr., two sons Lamar Mitchell (Mitch) and Arthur Moore (Mo), and her sweet grandson Derrian Baker (Derri). Lucy was born in Indinola, Mississippi as one of fourteen children to the Hodge Union. Lucy expressed her love of family through her incredible southern home-cooked meals and generous heart-she will be deeply missed. The Homegoing service will be on Saturday, November 3rd at 12 p.m. with a visitation at 10a.m. All services will be held at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church 1117 Merrill St. in Hammond, IN with Pastor Herman Polk officiating. Lakeshore Funeral Services Inc. is honored to serve the family. 219-614-0575
