My heartfelt sympathies to all of the family. In my almost yearly conversations with Mrs. Spolyar, the last time being last summer, her love and pride of her family was evident. That was the pleasure in connecting with her, to hear her revel in her family. The only thing that changed was the length of the list and up-to-date accomplishments. I know she will be missed but when some of the grief subsides, you can all celebrate her life as she celebrated yours. To Bob, Marge, and Dick, whom I knew the best, I am sure Stash and Stella are dancing once again. I can see them--weren't they wonderful to watch! My thoughts and prayers to all.

I did not know Mary or her family, but I wanted to acknowledge her wonderful life, as written in her obit. As a native of Gary, I can certainly appreciate and respect Mary's love of her city. She sounds like quite a lady!
