Norman P. Lundgren

NORMAN P. LUNDGREN Age 81 of Scottsburg, Indiana, formerly of Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 7:50 a.m. in Bacala Nursing Center, Scottsburg, Indiana. Mr. Lundgren was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II serving on the PT boats in the Pacific Ocean. He lived most of his life in Lake and Porter Counties. He was a retired millwright for U.S. Steel Corp. in Gary, Indiana. He was also a former employee of the old Cities Service Oil Refinery (CITGO) in East Chicago, Indiana. He was born April 20, 1923 at Hammond, Indiana. He was the son of the late August Rudolph and Eva St. Clair (Eastman) Lundgren. On April 20, 1946, he married Iris M. (Dipert) Lundgren, who survives. Also surviving: 2 daughters, Cheryl, (John) Avery of Crown Point, Indiana; Gayle Curry of Crosby, Texas; son, Carl, (Lena) Lundgren of Scottsburg, Indiana; brother, Lawrence Alan,(Alberta) Lundgren of Big Horn, Wyoming. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services Tuesday, August 31, 2004, 7 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Home and Wed., September 1, 2004 at 7 p.m. at the Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso, Indiana. Cremation following services with disposition at a later date at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, Indiana. Visitation Tuesday, 4-7 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home and 2-7 p.m. Wednesday at Moeller Funeral Home in Valparaiso.
