OLIVER MAX BERDINE ''MAX'' Age 91 of Jensen Beach, FL, formerly of the Calumet Twp area, passed away Sunday, July 18. 2004 in Merrillville. He was a retired employee of US Steel & former member of Griffith Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver & Gertrude Berdine, brothers, Harry & Donald; sisters, Fondalete, Beaulah & Leanna. Max ix survived by his wife of 68 years, Doris of Jensen Beach, FL; 1 son, Larry (Kathleen) Berdine of Merrillville; 3 grandchildren, James Berdine of Atlanta, GA, Melissa (Michael) Casler of Westville, Patrick Branson of Merrillville; 3 great grandchildren, Karly, Jacob & Noah Casler; 2 sisters, Charlotte (Gene) Nimetz of Grovertown, IN, Janet Baranie of Plymouth; numerous nieces, nephews, & good friends. Funeral services Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at 3 p.m. at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville. Rev. Richard S. Brown, officiating. Cremation to follow a visitation which will be held Wednesday from 1 p.m. unil the time of services at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
